450 Years Of Lace Exhibition Catalogue

There is a fully illustrated catalogue of all 143 pieces that were in the exhibition in 2002, priced at £5.00 per copy. The catalogue includes 195 photographic (B&W) illustrations of the exhibits, provenance, date, dimensions and descriptions of all pieces. It has already become an invaluable reference source for the study of lace.

The catalogue is A4 in size with 100 printed B & W pages. It is perfect bound with a full colour glossy card cover. If you wish to order it from your book store it' s ISBN number is 0-9543192-0-6. Please do note that the official published price was £12.00

CD ROM

While compiling the catalogue for the 450 Years of Lace exhibition, in excess of 550 colour digital images of the 143 exhibits were taken, and of these only 195 (in black & white) were used for the catalogue. Rather than the remainder reside on a computer disk unused and unloved, I decided that they should be made available to everyone for future reference. The CD ROM is not intended as a replacement for the catalogue, hence the written information from the catalogue is not reproduced in the CD ROM, just the catalogue numbers.

The CD ROM has an auto running slide show of all the pieces, and also an html front end for viewing specific catalogue numbers through your browser.

What you will have will be all of these 550 images in colour JPEG format in very high resolution (as well as copies in lesser resolution). You are welcome to adapt them for your own personal use. Some have been digitally adjusted for colour balance or to remove blemishes, and many have been cropped to give better sizing, otherwise they appear here as taken, some good, some poor. Please do feel free to adjust and adapt them as you wish.

The Allhallows Museum holds the copyright to these images and asks only that should you wish to reproduce them for financial gain, for reproduction in printed material for distribution or for transmission on the world wide web, then you ask their permission first. The Allhallows Museum will most probably not ask for royalties or a fee unless the images will be used for financial gain, but would request that a full acknowledgement of the source of the images be given.
