The Honiton Lace Shop is governed by UK(English) law and all transactions undertaken by the Honiton Lace Shop will be subject to UK (English) law only.

By agreeing to purchase goods or services from The Honiton Lace Shop via the Internet and our website, purchasers will be entering into a legally binding contract..

Details of purchaser and transactions may be held on a computer by The Honiton Lace Shop. These details will not be released to any third party now or at any time in the future. All details will remain private and secure and subject to the data protection act. Any details sent to the Honiton Lace Shop by means other than via our secure credit card order form cannot be guaranteed to be safe from interception by third parties. Any such third parties will be acting without the permission of the Honiton Lace Shop and as such The Honiton Lace Shop cannot be held responsible for data intercepted and used by others.

We do not use 'cookies' or a unique identifier from within our website to gather information on those visiting our website.

All goods remain the property of The Honiton Lace Shop until paid for in full by the purchaser.

All goods sold by The Honiton Lace Shop are sold in pounds sterling and are inclusive of all UK taxes and duty. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to perform any currency conversions required to obtain the selling price in their country. The Honiton Lace Shop provides a currency converter on this website fort this purpose.

The Honiton Lace Shop reserves the right to change the price and description of all goods offered on its website at any time. All such changes will be altered on the website at the nearest possible convenient date to do so by the Honiton Lace Shop.

Delivery charges for all goods will be notified to the customer at the prevailing rate at the time of ordering.

Prospective purchasers wishing to pay in currencies other than pounds sterling will be charged by The Honiton Lace Shop at an amount sufficient to cover all handling and banking charges that are incurred by The Honiton Lace Shop in processing the transaction.

All goods will be dispatched with immediate effect once payment has been made. Should a delay be likely due to a temporary stock shortage, payment will not be collected until goods are ready for dispatch. The customer will be notified in such an event and notified again when payment and dispatch takes place.

Delays to deliveries caused by the postal services of this or any other country, or by shipping agents, and after dispatch by ourselves will not be the responsibility of The Honiton Lace Shop and will not be held alone as grounds for refund. If a specific delivery date is required the customer must inform us at the time of order and accept any excess charges for guaranteed delivery dates required for that service.

The Honiton Lace Shop will endeavour do describe and attribute all goods and services as correctly as is possible given the medium involved. The Honiton Lace Shop however cannot be held responsible for the prospective purchasers misinterpretation of the descriptions given.

Should it be found that The Honiton Lace Shop has unintentionally misdescribed any goods or services, then at The Honiton Lace Shops discretion, a full replacement or monetary refund will be offered.

New goods sold by The Honiton Lace Shop that are found to be faulty due to manufacture or that are damaged in transit while in the process of delivery to the customer will be replaced or refunded at the discretion of The Honiton Lace Shop.

Goods damaged once in the possession of purchaser and taken away from The Honiton Lace Shop, or after delivery to the purchaser will no longer be the responsibility of The Honiton Lace Shop

Second hand, used and antique items will only be refundable if found to be wrongly described, or their condition incorrectly described. By their very nature, purchasers must be aware that these goods may contain blemishes, damage or the affects of handling and age, and these will not necessarily constitute grounds for replacement or refund

The Honiton Lace Shop bears no responsibility for any goods confiscated or taxes levied under importation controls in the customers home country. It is the reposnsibility of the customer to check the legality of importation and the taxable status of any of our goods under their own local country laws before ordering from us, and also of notifying us of any proceedures to be followed to obtain customs clearance prior to both biling and shipping.

The 7 day statutory "cooling off" period as demanded by the consumer protection (distance selling) regulations 2000 will be observed by The Honiton Lace Shop. This states that the customer has 7 working days from the day after the day of delivery to notify The Honiton Lace Shop should they no longer want to keep the goods supplied. The customer will then return the goods in an unused and perfect condition and a full refund or exchange will be offered by The Honiton Lace Shop.

Refunds will not be given on goods that the purchaser has, after purchase and acceptance of the goods, and after the statutory 7 day "cooling off" period, decided that, for what ever reason, they no longer want or wish to keep. In some instances The Honiton Lace Shop may be willing to purchase back unwanted goods, but at a variable rate of not more than 50% of the original selling price, and maybe less than this amount.

Any transactions via mail order or the Internet, and that involve goods that are at that time sold subject to approval (which must be agreed and accepted by both parties before the time of dispatch) will be fully refunded as long as the desire not to accept the goods is acknowledged with immediate effect, or within an agreed time upon receipt of the goods by the purchaser.
